2007 - Another year has almost disappeared. I have now achieved accreditation as a therepist under WORK COVER.
This year has been a year of implementing Chinese Massage therapy as part of the health therapies offered both at Wollombi and Cessnock at the “Art of Healing”. The effectiveness of Chinese Massage is achieved through the power of healing touch and acupressure.
This ancient therapy revitalises the body’s natural resources and improves circulation and regulates the mind and the emotions.
Traditional Chinese Medicine also looks at the overall pattern of a person when diagnosing a treatment. The colour of the skin, the eyes, the tongue, the pulse and body language are all taken into account. This then forms a pattern of disharmony.
The massage treatments are then directed to the particular organ/s out of balance and are specific for such problems as digestive, hypertension, respiratory, sciatica, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel, diabetes, chronic fatigue etc. Most health problems have specific meridian points and massage sequences to assist in treatment.
Diet, exercise and mind set are also important elements in treating most health problems in Chinese Medicine.

“The Art of Healing” began operation at 54 Vincent Street, Cessnock in April last year.
I have teamed up with Rosie Hermann who is a medical herbalist to complement a traditional medical option as more people take responsibility for their health.
I am currently in attendance on Wednesday each week for my Cessnock clients.
